Merry Christmas from the Millarcs

To Our Beloved Church Family,

As we look back at the past year, we are still amazed at God’s perfect will and timing in moving our family to serve at LFBC. This time last year, we did not even have the notion that God would call me to be the pastor in the community we live in. After serving almost three months as your pastor, I am more encouraged than ever as I see God moving in mighty ways to revitalize and reinvigorate this group that He loves.

What an exciting time to be a member of Lilburn First Baptist Church! As we go through the month of December, we’ve begun a new tradition at LFBC entitled, “Christmas at Lilburn.” We are hoping and praying for a community-wide impact in celebrating Jesus’ birth and are eager to present His good news throughout December. So whether we’re partnering with local schools in getting gifts to needy children, hosting Christmas events, or inviting our family and friends to our services, we long to celebrate and share King Jesus with our community. We’re striving to be the church, “In the heart of the city, with a heart for the city.”

I once heard someone say that the greatest gift anyone could ever give is his or her closeness with Jesus.  The abundance of our joy and love of Jesus is the perfect gift to give others, not just during Christmas, but everyday. We find ourselves in a season when people are perhaps more open to the gospel, and we encourage you to share the story of our Savior’s birth. We love and serve a King who came down as one of us, to rescue and redeem us. There is no greater gift ever given!

Norma, the girls and I are tremendously thankful to be celebrating our savior’s birth with you. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed getting to know many of you and rolling up our sleeves and doing the work of the ministry. We love you and love beginning traditions and making memories while looking to share Jesus with each other and the world.

Merry Christmas!

Pastor Paul, Norma, Madison and Lillian Millarc
