Children's Handbells

The Children's Handbell Program is designed to complement the graded children's choral program and offer children the opportunity to take part in an instrumental ensemble.  Children in the 3rd - 6th grades may participate in Children's Handbells.

Children are not expected to have any musical background.  The first ten weeks of Children's Handbells is devoted to basic music theory instruction, handbell/choir chime ringing techniques and elementary ensemble ringing.  Whether or not the Children's Handbell Choir rings in church depends on the choir's progress.  Generally, a beginning children's choir will not ring in church until after the Christmas season.
