G.R.O.W. Outreach
Sundays @ 4:30 PM

What is GROW?
GROW stands for “God Rewards Our Work”.  The Lilburn First Baptist Church GROW program is an organized outreach and inreach ministry that meets every Sunday afternoon
.  Every church member is asked to commit to one Sunday afternoon each month with a choice of several different avenues of outreach: personal visits, telephone calls, writing cards/letters, or prayer support.

GROW Outreach Schedule:

1st Sunday:  "G" team

2nd Sunday:  "R" team

3rd Sunday:  "O" team

4th Sunday:  "W" team

5th Sunday:  All teams

During your GROW Outreach time, you can choose whether you would like to make visits, write cards/letters, make phone calls, pray, or work on special projects.

Visits can be follow-up visits with a church or Sunday School visitor, visits to unchurched people, inreach to church or class members, or care-giving to shut-ins or hospital patients.

Cards and letters can be written to visitors, prospects, newcomers to our community, homebound members, missionaries and absentees.

Phone calls can be made to visitors, chronic absentees, or members who are homebound or recovering from surgery or illness.

Prayer support can be given for the GROW Outreach time to be fruitful and effective.  Additionally, contacts can be made to those who have current prayer requests and to pray for each individual request.

The five principles of GROW:

1. Sowing and Reaping.

Matthew 13:54-58 Our preparation involves sowing seeds of testimony and love in expectation of the mighty works of Jesus.

Galatians 6:7 If no seeds are planted, there will be no harvest.

2. Involving Every Member.

Matthew 4:19 Every person who follows will be a fisher of men.

If you are not fishing, then you are not following.

Matthew 28:19 "As you go" means that every member is to be involved in the Great Commission.

3. Having Fun with Outreach.

Nothing is more exciting than leading someone into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. An atmosphere of expectation results in vibrant, positive, and growing churches.

4. Making Quality Time Greater Than Quantity Time.

This principle allows the flexibility to remain faithful to the evangelistic outreach ministry of the church and to continue to be involved in other ministry opportunities.

5. Reaching Out by Divine Appointment.

Acts 8:26-31 This principle recognizes that God is already in the process of dealing with the hearts and lives of men, women, boys, and girls all over the world.

Yes, God does reward our work and God gives the increase. As Paul wrote under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, "I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God made it grow. The man who plants and the man who waters have one purpose, and each will be rewarded according to his own labor." (1 Corinthians 3:6-8)  As LFBC continues to be faithful to our GROW outreach commitments, we can trust God to bring the reward!
