OUR LEADERSHIP TEAM

T.J.’s passion is knowing Christ, making Christ known, and leading people to a thriving relationship with Christ. He holds a B.B.A. in Finance from the University of Georgia and a M.Div. from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has had the joy of serving two churches as pastor prior to coming to serve the LORD at Lilburn FBC. T.J. is married to his lovely wife Meredith and they have four wonderful children (Ellie, Katie, Ben, and Samuel). T.J. enjoys hiking with his family, reading, and UGA football!

Tim Cotten’s passion is to see people worship the Lord. As the son of a Music Minister and his organist wife, Tim grew up watching how music can be used effectively to encourage and enhance worship. He gave His heart to the Lord at an early age, and a few years later called him into full-time music ministry. After a time at Truett McConnell College, where he met his future wife, Tim went on to gain a BA in Music Education from UGA and an MDiv in Worship Leadership from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Since then, Tim has served for more than 15 years in churches in Louisiana, South Carolina, and Georgia.
Tim and his wife, Amy, reside in Winder with their two daughters, Micah and Rinnah, and two dogs.
In his spare time, Tim enjoys learning to play different instruments, playing games with his girls, and watching Georgia football.

Erika Bowman grew up at Lilburn First Baptist, but she has never been more excited than she is now about what God is doing here! Erika loves carbs, musicals, and punny graphic t-shirts. When she’s not at church, you can find her at Chick-fil-A drinking an unsweet tea or at the zoo spouting off interesting facts about animals. Erika is passionate about helping kids realize that they are completely known and deeply loved by God and that they can do His work now.

Sarah Taylor came to First Baptist Church of Lilburn directly from the Salvation Army where she was the Executive Assistant to the Director of Development of the Metro Area Command. She has lived in Georgia since 1999 where she attended High School at Collins Hill. She graduated from Georgia Gwinnett College in 2010 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. Sarah found the Lord and was baptized at Norcross First United Methodist Church. She is very excited to have found a new church home and family here with us.

Anyse and her husband Phil married in 1962 and moved to Georgia in 1970. In 1979 they were invited to come hear a special presentation by the choir. They soon joined FBC Lilburn and became active in various programs. Anyse began working in the preschool program and was soon asked to serve on the Library Committee. She attended training at the SBC convention headquarters in Nashville, at Ridgecrest, and at Glorieta, and became a conference leader in Library Management for the state of Georgia. When not in the library, she can also be found ringing handbells & singing in a church choir.
