We’re open! If you would like to check out a book or inquire if a title is available, please email library@firstbaptist.net for hours and more info!

We our currently in the process of updating our Media Center software to make our inventory of books and other resources available to view online. With the new software, you will also be able to request items online and pick them up at the church. We will announce when this new system is available for use.

 
The Media Center offers a large selection of Christian literature and resource materials for all age groups:
 

Children

The Childrens’ Section has board books for the very youngest children including JayJay, The Jet Plane by Michel, Hermie by Lucado, and That’s not My Kitten by Watt. There are many wonderful selections for children through age 6 including favorites such as Joseph had a Little Overcoat by Taback, Woof by Dobson, Summer Is… by Zolotow and Quiet as a Buttterfly  by Forberg.
 

Juvenile

Our Juvenile Section specializes in materials for young readers.  Selections include many of the traditional series, such as Nancy Drew, The Hardy Boys, Mandie, Sugar Creek Gang, Elsie Dinsmore, and many others.  We also have a selection of biography and reference books about creation, Bible characters, and some early readers for those just learning how to read, including the classic Dick and Jane Series.
 

Adults

Our Adult Section has many reference books including commentaries, reference, devotion, and Bible study. There are also books that address home, family life, and activities. There are many books that support seasonal activities and decorations. We also have a collection of biographies of many Christians who have done much to grow and support Christian ministry along with many novels and a collection of short story books.

In addition to books there are DVD’s and CD’s for all age groups.

 

The Media Center seeks to provide the Message each week to those unable to attend on Sunday. The Message is posted on the church web site.  Copies of the weekly literature and a CD of the Sunday Morning Message are mailed each week to shut-in members who do not have access through a computer.  If you wish to secure a CD copy of any message, it can be ordered in the Media Center.  The Media center is also responsible for preservation of the Audio History of the church.  Copies of messages from prior years are also available in MP3 format.  These are available in a series called Echoes from the Rock.  Currently available are –  Revivals: Manley Beasley, Bertha Smith, Vance Havner (1980 – 1982); Revelation: Dr. Rick Forrester, Dr. J. Mike Minnix, Rev. Ken Hall.
