Who We Are
Our Vision
Magnify the Lord by making disciples of Jesus Christ among all peoples.
Our Mission
Make disciples of Jesus Christ, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to observe all that Jesus has commanded.
Our Values

1) The Centrality of Christ
At Lilburn First Baptist Church, Jesus comes first (Colossians 1:15-20). Because God’s desire is that in everything Jesus have preeminence, Jesus is the focus and core of everything.

2) Biblical Foundation
We teach and learn God’s Word, the Bible, and we choose to make all decision based on its guidance, strength, and truth (2 Timothy 3:16-17). We submit to its authority and recognize its supreme importance in our lives. Because it was inspired by God, the Bible is truth without any mixture of error and is completely relevant to our daily lives.

3) Mission Mindset
We call all believers to participate in following Jesus’ example of making disciples (Matthew 28:18-20), being both salt and light (Matthew 5:13-16), and sharing the love of God through our words and actions as genuine witness for Christ (Acts 1:8).

4) Spiritual Transformation
Through the power of the Holy Spirit, we actively engage with God and His commands, learning to think and act and feel as disciples of Christ, intentionally living out the new life that is in Christ.

5) Authentic Community
We believe that people, as image-bearers of God, are made to be in community. Together, we share in the common bond of faith in Christ, and love one another as Christ loves us. We share our lives together in love and unity intent on the ultimate purpose of glorifying Christ in the time and place God has placed us in.

6) Engaging Worship
When we worship we participate in a dramatic celebration of God’s worth (Psalm 96:8-9). When we gather together we recognize the freedom of the Holy Spirit to guide our worship in Spirit and truth (John 4:23).

7) Gracious and Generous Lifestyles
We commit to the godly stewardship of our lives and we offer our lives, time, talents and resources completely and joyfully to God and to each other as an act of worship.
