Children’s Ministry

Main Street Kids is the Children’s Ministry of First Baptist Church of Lilburn for kids ages birth-5th grade. Our aim is to partner with you to teach your children about our great God and his inspired Word, and point them to Jesus.

Sundays

Times:

Sunday School: 9:15a (check-in starts at 9:00a)

Children’s Church: 10:30a (check-in starts at 10:15a)

On the last Sunday of every month, our children join us in the Worship Center for Family Worship! Learn more here.

Curriculum:

Main Street Kids uses the Gospel Project curriculum for our Sunday morning programs. This curriculum is a 3-year journey through the Bible that teaches kids about the full story of the Bible and helps them see how all of the pieces fit together.

Sunday Morning Check-In:

When you arrive on Sunday, a greeter will help guide you to our children’s check-in station. At our check-in station, we’ll have you fill out a registration form so that we can best care for your child. We’ll also give you a name tag for your child and a corresponding security tag for you to use when you pick up your child.

We know Sunday mornings can be hectic. Make the morning easier by pre-registering your child for children’s check-in. Click here to pre-register your child or children!

What is Family Worship all about?

We believe that intergenerational connection is important and that families should have opportunities to worship together. On the last Sunday of every month, we have family worship—a day when children of all ages join their parents in the worship service.

Family worship gives children an opportunity to see their parents in love with and worshiping Jesus. It allows parents to engage their children in discussion about what they learned during the service and what questions they have. We aren't worried about children making noise during the service—they're kids!

Family worship Sundays also provide an opportunity for all church members—even those without children—to remember that Jesus called us to humble ourselves like a child. Our goal is that the church body will take family worship Sundays as an opportunity to encourage and spur parents and children on towards Christ.

“One generation shall commend your works to another, and shall declare your mighty acts.”

-Psalm 145:4

Wednesdays

Time:

City Kids: 6:30p (check-in opens at 6:20p)

Curriculum:

Our preschoolers use Gospel Project Curriculum. We reinforce the Bible story taught on Sunday morning by retelling the story and using different activities to help them engage with God’s Word on a deeper level.

Our elementary students explore foundational truths of the Christian faith including:

  • What is the Bible and can I trust it?

  • What is the big story of the Bible?

  • Who is God?

  • What is salvation?

We explore these topics through small groups that allow the kids to think about these big questions for themselves and look at Scripture to discover how it answers these questions. Kids also participate in games and activities as well as a large group teaching time.

Wednesday Night Check-In:

Follow the signs in the parking lot to the City Kids entrance for children on Wednesday night. You’ll be able to drop your students off nearby, and we’ll have someone who can direct you where to go for our adult ministries, too!

If you would like to pre-register your children for check-in on Wednesday night, click here.
